~ My name is Susan and I am Barkcloth Rose! I have always loved Roses and floral fabrics. I learned to sew from my dear mother, who made dresses for us girls, while I sewed pillows and blankets for my dolls and barbies. When I first stumbled onto vintage barkcloth several years ago, in a tiny antique store, it was love at first sight! I started selling pillows online about 5 years ago, and have had many repeat customer. Thanks so much to all of my customers! You keep me inspired to keep creating! ~

 

~ My full time job is being a wife, and mother to 4 wonderful children! The youngest is 2 and keeps me running and laughing, and the oldest is a teenager. We keep busy to say the least!

Besides sewing, my other hobbies include perennial and Rose gardening, and doing anything with my family- biking, camping, canoeing, fishing ,monopoly, checkers, and reading! I believe God has given us gifts and talents that can be used to serve Him and others. I feel my present calling is to be at home with my young children. I hope my vintage fabric pillows and totes can help bring your own personal warm touch to your home and wardrobe! ~
